VICTORIA, TX – The Victoria office has been named the 2018 Office of the Year by the Global Recruiters Network Corporation. Managing partners, Bill and El Gibbens, were in Hawaii last month when the announcement was made.
“We’re proud of the culture and work ethic we’ve been able to cultivate at Global Recruiters Victoria,” said Bill Gibbens. “It also feels good to be recognized by our peers.”
Global Recruiters Victoria was named Office of the Year in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017; Office of the Decade in 2013.
“We’ve been able to turn excellence into a tradition,” El Gibbens said.
Executive Recruiter Marilyn Rhymer, who also attended the annual gathering in Hawaii, was named first runner-up in the Search Consultant of the Year category.
“It actually feels a bit overwhelming, but in a good way,” Rhymer said. “There were a lot of people throughout the organization that worked hard and really pushed in 2018 to be their best.”
There’s no shortage in competition with the GRN franchise, Rhymer explained.
“To be recognized as first runner-up is quite an accomplishment for me and shows that with hard work and determination, your efforts don’t go unrecognized,” Rhymer said. “Luckily, I have the support of both Bill & El and the confidence in the clients and candidates I help in transition that made this possible. It wouldn’t be possible without them.”
Rhymer plans to make 2019 her best year yet.
“I’m in a unique position to directly help and fill those gaps, which are oftentimes critical roles for the organization,” Rhymer said. “To be able to play that role and help a company achieve their goals is something I am very passionate about. My goal is to help as many companies and candidates reach their goals as I possibly can.”
Global Recruiters Victoria is a very unique organization, the recruiter said.
“Our culture is second to none, everyone carries a mentality that it’s important to constantly be learning without the impression you have everything figured out,” Rhymer said. “Additionally, we have the support from leadership, our administrative team, and even fellow colleagues that help push yourself to the best you can be.”
Winning Office of the Year is no surprise when you have the right people in place, she said.
“Right now, I can confidently say that we do and 2019 will be the best year yet,” Rhymer said.
